Visit Bruxelles-Energie

Bruxelles-Energie plays an essential role in waste management. Taking a tour of Bruxelles-Energie is answering the following questions :
- In which context does Bruxelles-Energie intervene ?
- Why does Bruxelles-Energie wholeheartedly support waste prevention, reuse and recycling ?
- Which processes and technologies does Bruxelles-Energie utilise to recover residual waste ?
- How does Bruxelles-Energie protect the environment ?
So many questions and many more which will be answered during the exciting tour of our plant.

Attention !

Two kinds of visits are available :
AN ENVIRONMENTAL VISIT for :
- Secondary schools
- associations and groups who want to learn more about sound waste management and a “simplified” technical working of the plant.

In this case, you must first visit the sorting center “Recyclis” and receive an authorisation code before visiting Bruxelles-Energie, as per the educational programme developed by Bruxelles-Propreté. Recyclis is the regional recycling plant for PMD and paper-cardboard. The tour of Recyclis primarily aims at explaining sorting and recycling, which in the waste management system, precedes the energy recovery through incineration step.
A TECHNICAL VISIT pour :
- universities with a scientific orientation
- universities with a technological orientation
- associations of engineers, scientists, etc. essentially looking for technical information

Bruxelles-Energie is a continuously running industrial site. Access is authorised only under the following conditions :
- minimum age : 14 years old
- maximum number of visitors : 30

The tour is free and lasts about two hours. It is made of :
- a screen presentation
